- Amazon 1.40%
- Facebook 1.09%
- All others combined 0.79%
And for the European Union:
Google properties:
- Google Search 69.27%
- Google Images 21.96%
- YouTube 3.99%
- Google Maps 0.85%
Others:
- Facebook 1.31%
- All others combined 2.62% (all individual shares <1%)
And also in 2018 Google properties had combined search shares greater than 90% for each of these EU countries:
- Germany
- UK
- France
- Netherlands
- Italy
- Poland
- Spain
The conclusions to be drawn from these numbers are obvious:
- Throughout the Western world, for visibility in Internet searches for most business purposes, only Google matters.
- Accordingly, now and for the foreseeable future, anyone seeking sales or other forms of valuable conversions online needs to be aware of, and play by, Google's rules.
