Wisconsin Department of Tourism seeks Analytics and Insights Manager

Successful candidate will be responsible for managing analytics, research, performance measurement and reporting functions


The Wisconsin Department of Tourism has advertised for a full-time Analytics and Insights Manager who will "assist with tourism analytics research strategies that continue to grow the tourism economy."

The incumbent of this position will report to Chief Marketing Officer Shane Brossard (who per Linkedin was appointed to this position on June) and be responsible for managing the analytics, research, performance measurement and reporting functions of the Department. Position is located in Madison.

Qualifications - required: Education, training and/or experience related to

  • Marketing and advertising research to evaluate advertising effectiveness
  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative research studies to assess consumer sentiments and motivations
  • Using analytical techniques to uncover insights, measure performance and recommend optimizations
  • Creating, managing and reporting on sensitive market and consumer research projects

Qualifications - desirable: Experience in

  • Managing 3rd-party research projects and vendors and using data to drive decisionmaking
  • Developing brand research
  • Using advanced data and predictive modeling to predict outcomes delivering highest ROI

Salary range will be $65,000 - $69,014 plus benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required.

Comment: Per MIT, a single adult with no children needs an annual income before taxes of $32K to live above the poverty line in Madison, WI, and a couple (one working) with one child need $68K. Make sure those kinds of numbers will work for you.
